John Serwas, P.E.Project Consultant
Chicago, Illinois Mr. Serwas has been practicing professional engineering for over thirty years and has extensive experience in evaluating and designing building systems, including existing structures and properties in the construction and planning phases. Mr. Serwas has overseen numerous renovation projects and has been responsible for the design, cost estimation, equipment upgrade determination, and the replacement of mechanical equipment components. Additionally, Mr. Serwas is highly experienced in conducting property condition assessments and has assessed over 500 commercial, industrial, and multi-family residential properties throughout the United States. Mr. Serwas is well versed in the evaluation of commercial building systems; providing systems analysis; deferred maintenance issue assessments of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; capitalized repairs determination; and alternative system recommendations relative to building operating costs. Mr. Serwas' experiences also include HVAC design, construction supervision, contract administration, commercial property ownership, and indoor air quality (IAQ) assessment and authorship of test procedures. |
